Thermographic Examinations
The heat radiation invisible to the human eye is measured and visualized with infrared thermography. This is enabled by using high-quality thermal imaging cameras. High demands are placed on the technical design of the camera system and the qualification of the employees used in order to be able to evaluate the results from the thermal images taken with it precisely and comprehensively.
The application of infrared thermography is subject to constant expansion beyond construction technology; for example, it finds use in industrial and electrical systems, non-destructive materials testing, environmental protection, and medical diagnostics. MICS International GmbH realizes thermographic investigations in the fields of industrial and process technology as well as in electrical engineering. The infrared thermal imaging camera permits detection of defects by contact-free temperature measurement and display of conspicuous temperature differences.
We can use our infrared cameras for inspections from greater heights, e.g., for photovoltaic systems on roofs in combination with our inspection drones. This allows the production of thermograms at close range, e.g., for fire protection.
The infrared camera systems we meet all the special technical requirements for industrial and electro-thermography. The different measuring ranges permit temperature measurements in a range from -20 °C to 1200 °C.
Our technically specialized personnel are qualified in the respective “Industry” and “Electrical” sectors at least in accordance with ISP 9712 in level 2 by an accredited personnel certification body in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17024.
The report is compiled directly following thermographic examination. Thermograms reflecting thermal anomalies are displayed together with the corresponding measured values and the relevant data for localization.

Electro-thermography
Thermographic examination of electrical systems and system components in operation reveals thermal anomalies in order to determine failure risks and potential hazards. It is used to determine the status of production-relevant electrical supply, distribution, and control systems, as well as for optimizing fire protection in office and administration buildings, warehouses, etc.
Electrical components and devices in partial load operation are examined for their temperature behavior at nominal load with thermographic diagnosis. The respective electrical load and load distribution are determined by measuring the current at the devices to be examined as supporting evaluation criteria.
